The menu is 'klein aber fein ' accompanied with a big choice of splendid wines. The terrace and surroundings give a nice ambiance making you feel relaxed and ready to wine and dine. However it can get loud dependent on the customers frivolity. Unfortunately there was a major glitch with the service which left a bad taste in my mouth. Obviously stressed by the many visitors my order was delivered wrong and had to go back to the kitchen. Not a problem this can happen. However when returned, the steak was no longer hot but unperturbed l tried to make the best of a bad situation. I finally surrendered and asked for my steak to be warmed up making no accusations! As the title says, best fillet steak ever. I'm usually a ribeye man as I find fillet flavourless, but the guy who was hosting our visit was adamant I wouldn't be disappointed and by golly he was right. Not only stunning steak that cut like butter, but the wine was very very good. The waitress was also very nice and made sure this group of english were well looked after with attentive service, good humour and a smile Top marks
I know this place for years. Never can complain about the food. The interior really getting old and used. U don't want to see it during day time. The service getting also old and need a freshup. One of them is always stressed even not have many guest. The food is great and so the wine list. Lucky Frauenfeld have this place lucky for Piano Bar there the only spot like this.
Been there last night with my fiance and friends. The food is same good as usual also the service. The price for the wines is high and no invites u to drink there a good red wine. Was very quiet for tuesday night. Piano bar is always a place to go for good standard food, drink and service.
