The food was all good. From appetizers to desserts. Nothing outstanding, but very tasty Southern Italian. My only real knock is the service. It was rushed. We were asked about drink orders three things by three different waiters before all of us were seated. Main course came as soon as we took our last bite of appetizers making me think it was sitting and waiting to be served. Servers hovered over my shoulder to clear many plates almost dropping food on me at one point. There was no rhyme or reason to serving and clearing from either side of us. Great night at Piccolo started with Orient Pond Oysters on the half shell, if you haven't tried these babies from Orient, NY, they are a must have. We were torn between these raw bar favorites and the Lobster Rockefeller Broiled Oysters special which looked fantastic. We both had the special Pistachio Crusted Halibut over escarole and white beans, truly a great dish. We always enjoy the atmosphere at Piccolo the front of the house, back of the house, waitstaff are always on their A game and make you feel special whether you're a regular or first timer.
I ordered the Lobster Fra Diavolo the waiter returned 2 minutes later and said they ran out of lobster, we had an early reservation) so I changed it to shrimp. Two minutes later he tells me they are sending someone out to Pick up a few more lobster since they ran out so quickly. This was a busy Saturday night. We did not wait very long for all of or dinners to come out under the circumstances. Who does that ? Outstanding. By the way the lobster was so fresh and the the sauce was excellent it was a excellent dinner
We dined at Piccolo in I believe 2017 and weren't particularly happy then,granted it was new years eve. So we went today mothers day and please forgive me but everything from the awful bread to the cauliflower steak was awful. The main dish which we shared a pasta plate with pulled something or other smelled bad and tasted worse. So disappointed.The staff are inviting andaccommodating. Best Italian in town. Their dishes are delicious, healthy and comfort all in one. Clams casino is always amazing and we had the Roberta fish which was out of this world heavenly!! Always save room for their classic tiramisu. Highly recommend
as always, Piccolo is at the very high-end of quality restaurants. The food is always superb. The service is outstanding and the cocktails flow better than anywhere else. It's my favorite restaurant in the Huntington area. 5 stars
First time dining here, service was 1st rate (they split a meal for us), food was excellent with a great variety and atmosphere was nicer than the pictures. Even the host came by for a quick intro. We will definitely be back.

Our absolute favorite Italian in town. Jason is great, George and the rest of the waitstaff is awesome. Highly recommend the sigari when they have them on special and the chicken picatta!
