This has become my go to place for good, hearty food at a reasonable price. We both had the mushroom au poivre pie which was delicious. I asked for extra butter on my beautifully cooked greens and was given 3 pats so all was good. We were too full for dessert so the mocha coffee hit the spot. The service was friendly and might try one of the many cocktails on offer next time to really elevate the experience!
Lovely setting but service was atrocious. We were rushed to order as there was a big party that came in after us. This big party consisted of 5 people. They started putting chairs on tables at 9 when they closed at 10 and felt pressured to leave. Such a shame as it was a first date which was going well. The pastry was heavy even for a pie.
Exactly what it says on the tin...Great freshly made pies packed with beef and mine with a blue cheese topping. My husband had the mash and me the triple cut chips. Good thick gravy...we loved it. Owner chatty but not intrusive and happy to chat about the restaurant. As freshly made you may have to wait a little to be fed but worth it.
every year we visit Devon and a few years ago discovered Pie Street now its a kind of pilgramage.Its a special very small place but if you like british pies and cabbage cooked al dente not soggy you will love it,some pies even have suet pastry which I love.No complaints I can think of,I will be visiting in May and forget the diet Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Took my partner for birthday lunch as he loves a pie! Really tasty food...delicious homemade pies, amazing chips and mash and fresh veg with a choice of gravy. We shall be back!
Every year we visit Pie Steet when on holiday in Devon. Never disappoints. Consistently good food. Went twice this year! Be back in 2025!
