we were in greenwich and undecided where we eat. we met this place while we went down the street, and as good as any we entered. we were greeted at the theke and directed at a table in the back. a waitress seemed to take our order and our food appeared about 20-25 minutes later. the cod and haddock were very fresh and served hot. the chips were crisp and perfectly cooked on the inside as I like. as fascinated by the cod, we ordered a part and a few minutes later was served a part like a hockey puck. I've been eating here for 8 years. the fish n chips here was always excellent. my personal favorite is the Cod-Füllet. £8.95 is actually quite fair when all the other places in greenwich calculate £11.95 and above. I have lived in greenwich for 12 years and tried all the others, but I can't say I've ever gone back. pier has always delivered on her promise of a traditional fish n chips and I am happy to eat there 2 3 times in the month.
I agree With that comment, we had the same problem there also, rude staff, food not of a good standard, waiting for ages as well. And when the meal did finally arrive, the portion was minuscule. Less than a handful of chips for the price we paid!! Not value for money at all.. plus the food wasn't the best Fish and chips we have ever had. In fact I could of done a better job at home, plus I would have been faster!
The best Cheese and chips in Greenwich, but I admit I don't go as often now they've increased the price. Located in the heart of Greenwich it's the best pit stop for food without going out of your way wherever you may be going in Greenwich.
