First, I would like to acknowledge the fact that all of the wait staff and employees were wonderful and attentive. At no point is this review about service. But, have they tasted this food? Now, let's address the utter tragedy that is the food at Pina Pizza. I can't remember a single time in my life that I've had pizza this bad. It's as if all flavor was sucked out of every ingredient used. The dough was undercooked and bland. It's as if they forgot salt and didn't proof the dough. The sauce lacked any depth, none of the sugars in the tomatoes were developed. If you had crushed unripe tomatoes left them raw, they would have more flavor than this sauce. I don't know how they cooked this pizza...
First time here.., I personally loved their pizza . The customer service was super good too. Waiter was a sweet girl that checked on us and recommended the large pizza instead of the XL pizza (it was only 3 of us). That said, my bf and brother did not think the pizza was that good. They compared it to little Cesar's pizza : so I think it's personal choice of whether you like it or not. I def liked it so we coming back either way lol.
We ordered for the first time about 3 weeks ago and oh man! Pina Pizza has been on our mind nonstop. The food was AMAZING! From the pasta to the soup to the pizza everything was just delicious. We will definitely be ordering from here for our pizza nights from now on. Also customer service was a 10/10. Everyone was super friendly and respectful. Thank you guys for amazing food and service!
Ok, was in downtown Downey and hungry. I don't write reviews anymore but I thought this place had some good food. Good portions. Get the pizza, and the antipasto because the Italian dressing was bomb. My partner enjoyed the minestrone. Above all, the service was genuine and what you would expect in a home style mom and pop. We'll be back.
It is 12:16.. lunchtime. I'm in the mood for pizza. Being from NY I can be critical when it comes to pizza. Anyways... I decided on a meatball sandwich and my love had the lasagna. The soup and salad was delicious. Everything else was salty and no air conditioner Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
Wanted to try something different and the carnitas pizza did NOT disappoint. We ordered it to go, still was warm/hot when we got home. Super delicious and the chipotle sauce works perfectly. The quality of the pizza was phenomenal as well. Every bite was yummy. Will def be coming back!

This is an old school italiano restaurant. The atmosphere was quite, family oriented. The Pizza was crispy, the pepperoni was very unique. Wings were basic. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Pandemic hit a lot of places. Pins has improved since then and glad to see they survived and thriving. They are a landmark in Downey and a must visit.
