I visited this restaurant around 8:23 PM on Labor Day with seven of my friends. We waited inside for about five minutes before anyone offered assistance. The staff members were behind the counter, seemingly ignoring us. I finally managed to get the attention of one of the female employees and asked for a medium-sized cup. To my surprise, she walked away without acknowledging my request, which I found incredibly rude, especially since I was one of the first to arrive. The worker was a young woman with colored hair and glasses, and her behavior came across as very unprofessional and impatient.
My family and I drove to Freeport, and after lunch, we were in search of some dessert when we stumbled upon P.I.P'S. I chose to order a scoop of coffee and a scoop of strawberry ice cream, but I have to say, their scoops are massive! I even had to ask the guy to stop serving me on the strawberry scoop, as that was meant for my little one. We sat outside, and honestly, it was delicious! You really get your money's worth with their ice cream!
I really enjoy visiting this place in the summer! Taking a pleasant walk along the nautical mile while enjoying a waffle cone filled with my favorite ice cream flavors is such a treat! If you decide to go, make sure to get a waffle cone—you won't be disappointed! The service is excellent too. They offer both outdoor and indoor seating, which is great if you prefer to sit down and relax.
I found the ice cream to be quite pricey at $6 per scoop. While the staff was friendly, the exterior of the building could use some serious maintenance as it looks rather run-down. It's a nice spot near the water, but if they're going to charge these prices, they really need to improve the overall appearance.
