I have eaten a lot of falafel in my time, but nothing compares to the falafel at Pita Pockets! The food is seriously delicious and made by a family-run establishment. The young man who works there is extremely friendly, making each visit a pleasant experience. Although the lunch rush can result in a long line, it moves quickly and is definitely worth the wait. The owners are also very accommodating to vegans, willing to customize a tasty falafel wrap or any other dish you desire. I often add fries or grape leaves to my wrap, and everything tastes fresh and flavorful. The homemade hummus is especially amazing - so much so that I sometimes take some home with me. Great place! We were visiting Amherst for the day and stopped in for a quick bite. The folks who work here are super nice. Plus they understand dietary restrictions, and vegan items are clearly labeled on the menu. In fact, when I told them that I was vegan, the man who was making my wrap said I love spoiling vegans and added some goodies to my meal (grape leaves, extra hummus). That was after they already gave us a few falafels to munch on while we waited to order. The food was great, and the portions are huge. I 'm looking forward to coming here often when I move to the area.
Hands down the best place to get a quick bite in the valley. After I eat one of their wraps, I feel so good I could run through a wall. The guy who works there is the nicest person on the planet and makes everyone feel like family. He has maintained the excellence of both the food and experience since they opened. The restaurant offers excellent vegan choices that are easy to identify on the menu. The falafel is outstanding and considered the best in western Massachusetts, and the service is top-notch.
