visited on Wednesday before they returned to the train to some, piwni is a beautiful pub with a lot of character and a lot of choice for sitting. I highly recommend the Rhabarb Cidder, which was served me by a very nice person behind the bar, I will be sure to visit again when I visit next york
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced drinks, heat lamps outside (but no umbrellas when I visited) and the interior looked great for when things open up again, with lots of space over multiple floors and wood everywhere which makes it feel warm and cozy
fantastic small bar with an amazing selection of Belgian beers. the la trappe on the tap was delicious. comfortable seating. bar tender was friendly. limited external seats. had a great time chatting with some people next to me.

Alice Cara were the best hosts we had all night, wonderful knowledge of all the beers on tap and brilliant service. We had our first date here 3 years ago and it's remaind a firm favorite in york since then <3
Didn't stay for long but it was a lovely old pub, full of character and a good selection of beers. Plenty of places to sit and the staff behind the bar were nice, so you can't go too wrong really!
Just off shambles market. Really nice pub and good range of beers etc which were reasonably priced. 3 floors and loo is on top floor..not an issue for me but might be for others.
