Pre theatre visit with LOADS of time in theory : table booking for 5:15pm and theatre start at 7pm just 5 minutes walk. The good first : lovely waiter with good, smiling people skills and our beers arrived quickly. My partner said his Margherita pizza was fine, the salad leaves with the two leggera pizzas were very fresh and, although it arrived a few minutes after the others, the gluten free pizza was hot. Now the bad : after waiting over 20 minutes (Pizza EXPRESS remember) the three pizzas that arrived first were almost cold when put in front of us, the leggeras were over cooked, the garlic bread was tough/cold and had no discernible butter content, and an after thought order for gluten fr...
My friend and I had a lovely meal here yesterday, however had a bad experience with paying. The waiter took our payments for the bill and then proceeded to come back and tell us there had been a mistake and we had to wait. The waiter explained that he took the payment from the wrong table and they had already issued a refund for one of the payments, which would take 2-3 days to appear back into the account. The waiter made my friend pay her part of the bill again. This meant my friend was now £26 down because of their own mistake. Very poor management and also the official general manager was not available to contact or speak to in the restaurant… This could have all been avoided if they had...
We arrived at the restaurant excited for our lunch we ordered our starters they were fine but a bit cold we didn’t think much we of it but then our mains came and we were served 3 burnt pizzas and our pastas were uncooked, when we tried to tell the waiter she seemed uninterested and walked away while we were still talking to her, because 1 of us ate one of the pizzas we had to pay for it?! The staff were also rude. We did not have time to tell them our food was burnt as we had a show to go to! I was not happy with this and I am very disappointed because I like pizza and express do not come here unless you like burnt pizza and uncooked pasta! Love flo (age 13) xxx
We received a warm and friendly welcome from Adam, who took excellent care of us during our visit. Despite the busy atmosphere, we were seated promptly and received top-notch service. The food was not only delicious but also served quickly and hot. Our waiter was both friendly and professional. We look forward to returning to see Adam and the rest of the team. I am a frequent patron of PE and have a young child. This restaurant is located in a lovely, vibrant area of London. The service and food were excellent, with a very friendly and accommodating waiter. I was pleased with the seating area. However, the downstairs toilets were a completely different story. I was appalled by how smelly, dirty, and moldy they were. The management team definitely needs to address this issue.
A lovely visit last night thank you to Rosa, Paula Karol for your attentive service. Very impressed at the dedication of the waitress’ looking after the table near us and preventing their phones from being stolen. Great, speedy, welcoming, friendly service. Vegan options could be better.
Have eaten at Pizza Express over the years and it always used to be a good value option. Unfortunately, doesn’t seem to be the case these days. Meal was ok although my daughters pizza seemed poorly prepared) but pricey for what we had. Service was adequate.
After a late night at the theater that ended at 10pm, it was challenging to find a place to eat. We decided to go to Pizza Express, where Adam and his team graciously served us, despite it being near closing time.

My experience here was amazing! My waitress, Magda, was so nice and helpful and, made sure I felt comfortable. The food was so good and will definitely be returning soon!
