I really don’t like leaving negative reviews as I like to think a bad experience can be turned around if dealt with correctly at the time. You can probably guess by my rating that this was not the case. We booked a table a couple of weeks ago to celebrate the end of our children’s SATS, we were a large party made up of 8 children and 6 adults. Unfortunately things were not promising from the off. It took 40 minutes for someone to take our drinks order. Then another 30 mins to take our food order. Our mains arrived when our starters hadn’t even been cleared. We then sat there for over an hour after finishing our meal waiting for someone to come and clear the plates. We also waited a long time...
I bought my partner here for a rare meal out and was very disappointed. We ordered margherita pizzas and when they arrived we noticed there wasn't alot of cheese on them at all! So my partner sent hers back and they made her a new one which was nice of them. When paying quite alot of money for a pizza, I was expecting a somewhat decent pizza, but I've had nicer frozen pizzas. After eating, we had to wait quite a long time before we could order desserts. It was over 30 mins of us just sitting there waiting. Then it was too late for us to order dessert as we had somewhere to be. Really disappointed with the service we received at pizza express harlow this evening. We visit quite regularly and have noticed a decrease in service over the last 3 visits. Tonight we booked a table, the restaurant wasn’t busy and we opted to sit outside. 20 minutes after being seated before anyone came to take a drink order. Food was good as always but when we had finished eating we waited and waited for the plates to be cleared and to get a dessert menu. 45 MINUTES PAST ! Not a single server popped a head out to help us. Fed up, Payed the bill in full on the app and walked out. Even us leaving didn’t get a look.
Went to Pizza Express in the Water Gardens in Harlow. I don’t think I’ve come across the level of rudeness from staff in a restaurant before. I don’t think any of them like there job they’re all so miserable, slow and unhelpful. I’ve always wondered why this place was always empty now I know why. Eleven 13 year old girls didn’t faze the wonderful manager and our lovely waitress (forgot both names, sorry! the manager was a blonde white lady and the waitress and dark haired Asian lady) food was perfect, fast service, great quality and such good value, lovely and clean will be going again for sure better than the Epping restaurant
Worse service ever. No host at the door, 3 women running like headless chickens trying to make up tables for booked seats. Keeping people at the door for 15 minutes just to say in thw end they don't have seats. Dont bother even going and wasting your time
I cannot praise the staff at Pizza Express enough for the fantastic service and delicious food. A shout out in particular to Michelle who looked after us all evening . Michelle made our young people so welcome . . We will definitely visit again

My daughter and I had a great time here! The dough balls were incredible and I especially loved the truffle dough balls!
