Absolutely delicious! I stayed here for a week and ate here every day, and I can confidently say the food is outstanding! The bread is incredible! If you're in Carteret or just passing through, you need to stop here – truckers are welcome, with plenty of parking available for those big rigs, and it's just a 15-second drive from Turnpike exit 12, right next to the Red Roof Plus Hotel! The prices are budget-friendly, but the quality is unmatched. I honestly don't understand how this place isn't a five-star restaurant in Midtown Manhattan. Lino and the team are fantastic people. I can't believe it took 2.5 hours to receive just three slices of pizza and half of my drink order. When I called, the driver said they returned the order because nobody was home, despite the fact that I was sitting right next to the front door. I had selected contact-free delivery, so the food was supposed to be left at my door. Now it's been almost an hour since they told me the driver was on the way with the rest of my drink order. The service has been terrible. I heard this place had gone downhill, but I used to love Carmen's and thought I'd give it another chance. I won't be coming back again. Keep my money; it's not worth the frustration.
We ordered delivery and our pizza came with all of the topping slid off to the side. We brought the pizza back and they were nice enough to make a brand new one. The pizza however was one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. We could not even get through a slice. All of the toppings kept sliding off. The sauce tasted terrible and had zero flavor and was so watery. The pizza was also extremely soggy. I do not understand how a pizza place can make pizza so terribly. We ended up throwing the whole pizza away. Definitely will not order from here again.
First time ordering from this pizzeria, it was recommending from a coworker. The delivery lady arrived promptly then things turned left when I asked about napkins. I asked was there a good amount of napkins , she said did you request them? Ugh no I didn?t know I had to request napkins when I ordered greasy pizza and hot wings. Common sense that your customer will need to wipe off after. I will never order from this establishment again. Weekly pizza spot. Only local pizza spot but do not mind because it is good. Pizza varies sometimes guessing by who makes it. Sometimes some of the best pizza I've had and sometimes it is still above average. I signed up for their text message service which sends me a discount pretty much every week which is a nice touch. People are friendly as well. If I were to get that amazing pizza like I get 3/5 times every time I could give it 5 stars.
Any time I want Italian cuisine, I order from Carmen 's (Carteret, NJ). The portions are quite ample and always GOOD! And they 're reasonabley priced... Friendly service too! My only pet peeve is that I wish they made roast beef subs . Otherwise, they are the best! ??????????????
Food is good, but if your going to order over the phone, do it before 9:00pm cause they will just hang up on you because they close at. 10pm. I feel if your open till 10pm you should take orders till 10pm . If not close at 9. Otherwise, they make great food.
