Having spent a day in August taking the grandchildren around the museums of Newcastle, we were really hungry. My grandchildren love pizza and pasta, and having never been, I decided to try pizza express in Eldon Square. Being mid afternoon, the place was fairly quiet, and the waitress was very efficient taking a drinks order almost immediately and bringing them to the table by return. Being 8 years old, my twin grandsons don't have a long attention span, so I was really pleased when the food order was taken and the food delivered quickly. My sister and I visited pizza express for lunch. The service was amazing, the manager, Neil, and all staff were so welcoming and friendly and made our visit completely worthwhile! Not to mention the food is always fab and comes quickly. Such a nice stop off for a day of shopping in Newcastle with so many options for different tastes. Will definitely be coming again!
Went for my birthday with my family last night. The waitress we had was lovely. Nothing was a bother and she was friendly and engaging. We had just gone without booking so told from outset wait time which we were fine with...at least she informed us upfront. We had a nice meal and the kids had colouring pens to keep them amused. I enjoyed my pizza.
My sister and I visit once a month for lunch. She couldn't make it today but I'd already ordered. The staff were so lovely and when I ordered my meal to go , wouldn't take the payment and said it was on them . So kind , restore's your faith in human nature.

My family and I ate at this branch of Pizza Express whilst staying over in Newcastle for the night en route further north. We ate on a sunny Thursday evening, whilst the restaurant was quite quiet, the service and food was spot on!
Nothing beats PE dough balls and Pizza! Delicious as ever. Really like the Eldon Square PE. Staff are friendly and helpful. The white wine is very of a good quality’ Lovely evening.
Pizza Express is a go-to for me - not very thrilling, but consistently dependable. When I'm traveling for work and just need a quick bite to eat, it's a reliable choice.
This Pizza Express is not up to par. The dishes are dirty, and wine glasses are often served with food remnants stuck to them. The pizza has skimpy toppings.
