We, 2, stumbled upon this restaurant looking for lunch. We were greeted warmly by Fatima. We sat out on the veranda. Restaurant practices distancing and hygiene due to the Corona which was very much appreciated. We drank beers and wine. I ate the eggplant with Honey and later the mixed paella. My husband ate a salad and later the lasagne. The restaurant has a 3 course menu for the Price of 11 euros. REALLY tasty food. Huge portions too. Very relaxing environment. Thank you so very much for your service. And yes, Fatima spoke Good english. RECOMMENDED!!!
Just stumbled across this place. They have a wonderful menu Del dia. I had the aubergine with honey which was excellent and some lasagne. You can tell this is the tomato capital of the world. The sauce was excellent as was the rest of it. My partner had the oven baked chicken leg which although not advertised such was done in an Moroccan style with fruit and a hint of chilli. Nice cake for afters. I saw the pizzas and they looked great. My experience of places in tourist type areas isn’t good but this is the exception
During our 2 day stay in San José we had lunch here the both days. Because here you get your money´s worth, the restaurant is very busy during the lunch hour (14 17 . Be prepared to wait to get your order in etc if you come at the busiest hour. I still think it´s worth the wait. Food is cooked from fresh ingredients (for example the hamburger is amazing, and so is the Gambas Napolitanas so it´s not just for pizzas . Service is messy and slow, but very friendly and polite so you forgive them :
before it was pizzeria avanti (and previously paolino). Now it's called pizzeria the skull. the pizzas of this place I love, well, with a good proportion of ingredients and good drip. It is advisable to arrive very soon because traditionally they stand out for the delay (of hours) in serving the dishes, which did not occur in our case in this visit (which we arrived soon). recommended place at first hour.

Although it looks like an atro, because when you enter what you breathe is dirt everywhere, I must recognize that the food was not bad, it was pretty good, we asked for a couple of dishes combined, it took a lot to do them but well, the place is not bad.
I'm sure it's the best Italian for San José: delicious pizza and great service! thanks and we'll come back!
