My girlfriend and I visited a restaurant last Saturday to listen to music. I made a reservation online, but we were initially seated at a table in the back. When the owner noticed we weren't happy with our table, he kindly moved us to a better one closer to the front. We decided to stay and ordered a gluten-free pizza, a side salad, and two glasses of wine. The wine was good, and the salad was above average, especially the balsamic vinegar. However, despite the busy atmosphere, we had to wait 45 minutes for our small pizza. The crust was overdone and almost burnt, and the sauce was lacking in flavor. The staff was very attentive and cared for every need of ours. Their timing was great they kept the table cleared of any used dishes, and they brought us refills of everything that we needed. A group of six of us had the carbonara because we all loved it so much, some with rigatoni, some with fettuccine and some with spaghetti. One of us had a cheese pizza, and the other had a pasta with a pesto sauce. One of our group also had the pasta of the month that had shrimp and pesto base sauce as well, and it was delicious. We felt we were served extremely well, and the food was very tasty. We would suggest anybody that likes Italian food to go here.
Had reservations and were seated quickly. Our only issue was trying to get around a table with construction (T-shirts) guys who just stared at us when we said,” excuse us “. We finally made it and placed our order. The pizza was perfect, and the time there was calm and relaxing. The warm sun streaming in the front window tempted us to stay longer, but a crowd was forming so we said goodbye, but we’ll return.
I really enjoyed my experience here. I called an hour prior to my reservation to see if I could add two more people and they accommodated us, no problem. From the moment we arrived to the final bill, we felt at times like we the only people in there. The staff was attentive, thoughtful and very quick. Great food, great service, beautiful restaurant. Down town Olympia parking is always annoying.. but 100% worth it. Will come back.
One of the best, if not the best, pizza I've eaten. I can't wait till I'm in Olympia again to eat there.
