I have been coming here for more than 20 years. This place was great but not anymore. The food is not the same. Is a expensive restaurant now.At the moment I got my check, I noticed that I was charged with the tips. The guy who was as cashier asked me if I understood what gratitude meant... (demanding) So I am asking the community....since, when does that decision come from the seller?? Why did he decide for me how much I wanted to tip?? Is a legal practice in NJ??. Is not a customer's decision?? It was a good place...just becareful when you are paying...
I found hair in my food, and the waiter simply took it away without addressing the problem. He then returned with the check, and when I inquired if they would remove the dish with the hair, he said no. While it's understandable that hair can accidentally end up in food at any restaurant, how a restaurant responds to such issues is crucial. This was my family's second time dining here, and we found hair in our order both times. I overlooked it the first time, but experiencing it again without any concern from management is unacceptable.
I love the chicken and their version of the aji sauce. We've been going there for years and have yet to get anything else. Parking: Parking can be a bit tricky when they're busy. It's all parallel street parking and the drivers on Washington Street will not cut you a break to let you back into a spot. Unless I get very lucky, I usually park around the corner.
Finally tried this place after living in Dunellen my whole life! The food is banging (chicken fried rice) and very reasonably priced. That light green sauce -omg- this is def our new spot! Love that a salad comes with the meal you don’t see that often.
