We were welcomed by the very friendly owner and given a table. The three “snugs” look really cosy and excellent for having a catch up with friends and, generally, there are a lot of interesting products and artwork to browse buy. The menu wasn’t huge, but ingredients were clearly well thought about and the resulting dishes incredibly tasty. I had spicy beans with nachos and coleslaw which was DELICIOUS just perfect. Partner took pepper chilli soup with homemade bread, and cheese also greatly enjoyed. The only very slight downside was that we were given far more information on menu ingredients than we could process but, perhaps, that’s the autistic in me and definitely a personal preference....
I love Platform 23! I stop by most weeks when out cycling, so am a regular customer. Emma, David and the staff are wonderful and welcoming. Was surprised to see a review that was a bit negative the cappuccino I had this morning was outstanding and always is. It is a treasure of a place, with great local produce and even beautiful art work created by Emma. Take it from someone who is a fussy guy but also a regular visitor, the quality of the coffee and cakes is second to none and so is the experience. Please visit and try for yourself you’ll love it too!
Do you like coffee? Ever wish you could choose the coffee served and not have the standard cup of Joe? Feel left out when your only choice of coffee is americano or espresso if you have it black? Why do all coffee shops only offer variations of milk to coffee ratio with flavor splashes? ... well this shop changes the game with over 10 choices of coffee bean, unique hot chocolate where you melt your own chocolate flavor, as well as the normal coffee to milk ratio lovers. They also serve fresh baked cakes and treats!
This place is amazing. Not only is the food, cakes and hot drinks fantastic , there’s also a weekly market with lots of local produce to choose from, plus wood fired pizza being cooked for you there and then every Thursday evening, home brewed beers available to buy and Emma’s own arts and crafts which are just beautiful. A real gem in the heart of Royal Deeside. Well worth a visit indeed.

We took friends to afternoon tea/coffee at Platform 22. THe staff were lovely and welcoming. We ordered cappuccino coffee and were persuaded to add cranberry white chocolate scones which were outstanding. This is a hard working and popular wee place which offers arts and crafts for sale as well. We intend to return to Platform 22 soon.
We went to try some soup and it was delicious. The restaurant seems to be getting better with time and the variety of local ingredients is great. I will definitely come back. They also have a farmers market on Wednesday mornings, but I am unable to go on Wednesdays so I hope they will consider adding another day.

This restaurant is a fantastic place to visit with children. In addition to serving delicious coffee and food, they also offer a stunning view and a playground for kids. It was a perfect stop for our family during our journey to Dingle. We were thrilled to have found this hidden gem.

Got a cappuccino and a brownie from here a few days ago. Looks like a nice little place, seems quite trendy, but the cappuccino I got wasn’t great. If I had to guess, I’d say they overheated the milk then topped it with a little bit of the froth. Brownie was okay.
