We visited for our first time on a Thursday at 6:30PM and had a great experience! We were seated quickly and Monica helped grab us chips and salsa and our drinks. The chips and salsa were $2 but we’re definitely worth it! Seth took our order for dinner and has great suggestions and service throughout. We really enjoyed the enchiladas and how they had two unfolded tortilla stacked (like a quesadilla instead of rolled like traditional enchiladas. So much good filling and cheese : . When we were seated, I mentioned to the host we were trying to get out within and hour and this was relayed to Seth who ensured we got our check right away and were out on time for our event. Love me some Playa Amor. I have been there on multiple occasions, yet I am finally leaving a review. What stands out to me is the consistency of good flavor each time I have visited over the past several years. My favorite is the enchilada, which is uniquely layered like a lasagna. Genius! You get a nice balance of meat to cheese to sauce in every bite. Also, I love the elote, and really all the other dishes. They have a nice drink selection as well. I am a fan of the house margaritas personally. To me, this place feels and tastes more authentic than Ola Mexican across the street and is priced reasonably. Highly recommend!
Enjoyed the service , really good food and the drink was strong for me but it was great! If you get cold easily bring warm clothes due to it being by the beach it’s cold although they do provide blankets !! I will be looking to come again before I move out of state . I ordered the asada nachos and the tortillas were crispy! I also ordered a grilled shrimp taco it was amazing! My daughter ordered butter noddles with rice and beans , and husband ordered fish tacos and as our appetizer we got the mole tots ! Again I will be back!
Love this spot! While I usually get the fish tacos (which are amazing) I branched out and got the Playa Chop today. If you’re looking for a lighter option, this is the perfect one to pick. Of course, I still had to get the guacamole because that’s my favorite dish! The street corn is also amazing. The patio is a great spot and the servers are always so kind. Great Mexican food, but what I liked the most was the service. These employees make you feel at home, friendly, respectful and talk able . It was my first time and I think its great for a first date upstairs or outside since they have a guitar men playing music at your own request with a shot of Tequila to conquer her along with some good as Tacos.
We travel often from Texas and this is the one place my husband always wants to go too. The food is modern Mexican and the chefs are geniuses! Their take on traditional dishes are perfection! I would recommend the potato taquitos, elote, and my husband’s favorite the carne asada hatch spaghetti. 5 stars!
It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Their Brussel Sprouts appetizer are amazing. I could have just had that for dinner and left completely content. Had an amazing Halibut catch of the day with roasted potatoes really good. It's definitely worth going. A

The food is incredible! So fresh and delicious! A lot of thought went into the menu. The flavors are amazing! It's next level dining! The service was outstanding and it's a pretty space to relax and enjoy a great meal! Best margaritas ever!
