Went for dinner with my sister the other night. We have been here multiple times and let me say the food is always consistent- hence 4 stars and 5 other times. However, we have noticed a server issue the last few times we have been. This most recent time, it took over 10 minutes to have someone come and take our drink order. We had multiple servers and employees walk by and interact and finally after making awkward eye contact another server got ours. We ordered everything at once- cheese dip, 2 pollo Guadalajara, and 2 margaritas on the rocks with salt. Had been here a few times over the years. Always good. Today the tables turned. Honestly I think it was the worst Mexican food I have had in my life. No exaggeration, not trying to be a jerk. All meat was overcooked, oversalted, too much oil. Salad had no dressing or salsa. Enchilada was a slab of cheese, no tortilla, covered in sautéed meat, onions and red sauce. Mush. Fajita meat was the same thing. Almost inedible. Everybody's stomach complained the rest of the day. Waitress trying her best, but one dish was wrong and had to be redone. It used to be a great place, but I was disappointed during my recent visit. While the staff was attentive, it couldn't compensate for the mediocre food. The margaritas tasted like they were made from a pre-mixed blend, and the fajita meats—beef, chicken, and shrimp—were overcooked and greasy. The vegetables were burnt, which didn't help either. The chips were cold, and the queso didn't have any flavor. The salsa was bland as well. Overall, it used to be acceptable, but not anymore.
Love love love this restaurant. The prices are so affordable especially considering portion sizes. A lot of entrees are big enough to be split by two people. My mom and I really enjoy the lunch and dinner specials. We still can't get over just how good it is here, our favorite thing is probably the white sauce they bring out with the chips/ salsa. We ordered a chicken chimney Chunga and a Texas fajitas! We opened it to find 1/2 fried fajita tortillas stuffed with shredded chicken very Doughy! Not at all a chimichanga!!! 2nd They need to take the word Texas author fajita menu! And they should be ashamed of what they sent out an over cooked sloppy mess that we through away. Please save your money and order somewhere that takes pride
Take out Fajitas for 2 and Burrito Grande. The portions here, dine in or to go, are usually generous. Food typically is well seasoned. I would avoid the guacamole dip on to go orders. The large ramekin for almost $5 is a bit excessive. Fajitas for 2 will easily feed 3 (order an extra tortilla 3 pack).
My family visits this restaurant regularly and we've always been pleased with the service, even during busy times, as well as the quality of the food. It's our favorite Mexican restaurant whenever we're at the beach.

The food and service were enjoyable. There was a minor issue with my order, but they resolved it immediately. The restaurant and the bathrooms could use some cleaning. It's a family-friendly place.
