a classic and favorite of me this place will always go to Thai place! eating is authentic and tasteful, with decent portions. my favorites were the roti prata with curry, the yellow curry, the spicy basilikum reisplatte, the spicy chicken wings and... base everything. every time I ordered from ploy ii, whether I had been fed into eating or going out, I was not disappointed. the ambiente is cozy and cozy, like a classic SF apartment, which has been converted into a spacious dining area with many tables. they feel as if they are with the mother of a friend who is enthusiastic about the delicious food she has cooked for them. shout tony, who remembers my friend and I, as soon as I regular, have...
I would give this a 3.5 if it were possible. The menu has a ton of vegetarian options. I tried the vegetarian curry puff, mango panang curry, rad nar and the roti dessert. The mango panang was amazing. The curry puff was good good flavor and crispy but I missed a sauce on the side. I did not like the rad nar at all since it was too bland. The roti dessert was good crispy flaky bread topped with condensed milk and sugar, can't go wrong ? . This was too much food for two since the portion sizes are big. The decor was nice but the food was served with paper plates and plastic utensils which might throw off some.
Pretty cool hole in the wall place in the Haight district. Great service but don't be expecting this place to be fancy or even use silver ware they use paper plates and plastic utensils . Kinda wasteful but whatever. Don't get me wrong the food was decent, I had the pad see ew as usual, solid flavors not the best but also not the worst. A good mix of sweet and spicy, the chicken was a bit dry, but the noodles absorbed the sauces really well. I'm glad I came and tried it, but I don't think I would again.
This restaurant is as cute and quaint as San Francisco can get! A renovated home style restaurant with picnic table vibes from the plaid table clothes to the disposable at the moment table sets. I had the Panang curry with vegetables and tofu which was perfectly flavored coming out piping hot. Ploy II is the best of Thai food in SF! They are family owned and operated you can tell instantly. They always make you feel welcomed. Favorite dishes: Appetizer: Roti w curry Mains: Panang curry w chicken Pad Thai Cashew nut chicken Sweet and sour chicken But honestly everything I've had there is on point. It's just hard to deviate from these since they're always so delicious!
Yummmmm! The staff is attentive and very nice! The restaurant was upstairs and it had a nice little view of the busy street. The food was delicious! I got the papaya salad delicious; wish it was spicier , mango panang curry 10 10; I loved the hint of mango , pad kee mao 11 10; noodles were the best part !
came to dinner with three friends. our server was super friendly, friendly, and speedy personally was very impressed that he did not write our orders down, but she memorized! the food was good and cheap! best were the portions too big, to two of us had to go boxes!
