What a wonderfully charming pub in the heart of Crondall! Dating back to the 16th century, the pub feels traditional and comfortable in equal measure. There is a good-sized car park around the back and outdoor seating front and back. The inside is cosy with low ceilings and exposed beams. The food is a level above other pubs, I can recommend the chilli crab linguine or the beef and red wine pie. Under new management since early 2023, the former RAF landlord welcomes families, dogs, walkers, cyclists, and locals alike. Prices are in line with the quality experience offered. A Great Stay in Every Respect Both Gary Emma were warm friendly hosts from the outset went out of their way to ensure that I was happy. The en suite room was clean very comfortable particularly the double bed. You could choose to eat in the restaurant area or in the main bar with a menu that offered a range of classic pub dishes to a high standard delicious. Breakfast is a choice between Continental (which was very good) and the traditional full English I would highly recommend The Plume of Feathers really enjoyed my stay thank you. This charming village pub boasts a rich history and an abundance of personality. I've stopped by recently for lunch after enjoying a nearby walk, and each time I've experienced warm, friendly, and attentive service. The main dishes are classic pub fare, beautifully presented, and all freshly made on-site, making them truly delicious. There's ample seating both indoors and outdoors. Service: 5, Location: 5.
New landlords new rules. This is now a dog friendly pub. Previous owner did not allow dogs inside the pub even though the area attracts a lot of dog walkers. It's good to know we can bring our dog inside in the winter months. The food was lovely. Good service and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Given it a 5, but not stayed here. Have a pint at the front. Nice, proper pint only downside is that it was chilled! An ale really should be warm room temperature imo. This view seems to be out of fashion. Good health. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
I visited this charming country pub to catch the Rugby World Cup, and it was a fantastic experience. They serve an excellent pint of Guinness, and the staff is very friendly. Overall, I would rate the service and location both a perfect 5 out of 5!
