I've been coming here for ice cream since I was a child, and not much has changed over the years. There are countless flavors to choose from, although I've noticed a few times that some have a slight freezer taste. When I was younger, I always went for the bubble gum flavor. I really enjoy their rotating flavors and specials; their offerings for St. Patrick’s Day are fantastic. This time, I tried the pralines and cream, and it was delicious with just the right amount of caramel! As for parking, there are spots available in front of the shop, behind it, and across the street.
This place is iconic. It 's a small place so on a nice day expect a wait but it 's worth it. They have a good amount of flavors plus sherbets, gelato, and dairy-free options. They sell pints and quarts, and apparently cakes, pies, etc. (although I 've only ever gotten ice cream) The fact that they 've been around since the '30s just goes to show...they know what they are doing. And all the ice cream is made right there...no factory somewhere shipping it in. Nope...right there. Well worth the trip.
I’ve always wanted to try this place, and I wasn’t disappointed! The ice cream is incredible! The blueberry cheesecake flavor was fantastic, and I also tried the chocolate malt, which was delicious. They have such a wide variety of flavors to choose from. I will definitely be returning, but I’d recommend avoiding weekends since it gets very busy, and there was a bit of a wait. However, it was absolutely worth it!
