The young lady at the counter was very nice when I came in. I found out about this place doing door dash one day so I decided to give them a try before I went to work which made me late because she told me 15 min and it went way over the time. I ordered 6 breaded wings, Mac cheese, greens, and yams. I was really thinking I was going to get some real soul food seeing that the lady in the back reminded me of my grandmother. Easy to miss and they're carry out only.?Fish: Perfectly crispy. BUT WOW, THAT BITE ! DANGEROUSLY SALTY.?Mac: Rich chessy. Greens: A bit salty yet bland smelled like a canned greens (I hate).?Bread: Stale but served the purpose of catching the light oil from the fish.?Yams: Sweet.I ended giving my meal to a teenager that walked by outside. I was very excited to find a soul food spot near me, until I had a few entrées from here. This place has canned food sides and the Mac and cheese is frozen from GFS. Nothing about this place is authentic unless you like canned food and store bought desserts. My gosh I'm actually embarrassed for this place. Black owned businesses are going downhill if this is the quality you get in the food industry. I won't give up on my search, but Plutos Café is DEFINITELY NOT IT! Do yourself a favor and save your time and money, go somewhere else where there's real food.

This is a hidden gem in the heart of North College Hill. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. It was like a down home type feeling. Those from the south understand. The fish is cooked in cornmeal as it should be. Never had beef gumbo until I dined here. It's just plain old down home cooking at its best. I'll become a regular customer at this mom pop restaurant.
Ordered on Doordash today for the first time and it was ????? I had the whiting, with fries and yams with a cheesecake! Everything was fresh and delicious. You can taste the cheese in the cheesecake I actually liked that. I will be back. #SupportLocal
Pluto's had good smothered porkchops and whiting. The yams were good and fries were seasoned well. The macaroni and green beans could use more seasoning. They should NOT put the bread under the smothered porkchops because it soaks through the bread.
Don't eat here. I picked up a door dash and I watched this lady heat food up and figure the food to check the temperature. Absolutely disgusting. This was after she scratched her butt and swatted at tons of fruit flies!

Very good soul food! Food always fresh and tasty. Party wings,Meat loaf, buffalo wings, and burgers with fries be on point and the lemon cake is to die for! Highly recommend!
