Last night I'm in poboys for the last time. we go there several times in the course of the year with our friends and family. that's why we went to my friends 30th birthday, when he likes to eat that, we came and sat out immediately. we ordered our appetizers and eat quickly and waited for an hour for our 2 appetizers for 6 people. unfortunately we waited an hour and let the staff come out and say they ran out of noodles. what we understand can happen when a place is busy, but wait 2 hours to notify us that a person who ordered the pasta will not get food there is annoying. the individual who did not get his food was the birthday man. we said the rest of the food is displaced and would be in...
Food needed seasoning, not just salt. I ordered the blacksmith pasta. It was creamy but lacked any real flavor. The chicken tasted like it was boiled. I took it home and added my own creole seasoning to the leftovers. Portions were on the smaller side. Went with my boyfriend on a Saturday evening. He ordered the gumbo and wasn't impressed at all. It's tomato based not made with a roux. Gator bites were ok but heavily breaded. Don't think we will go back. Very bland for attempting to be New Orleans style food.
Not going to lie, haven't been here for years but my husband wanted to go so I agreed to give them another shot. Food and service was delicious! We had pretzel bites appetizer and the pimento cheese was amazing. My husband got the red beans and rice and I got the gumbo. The spice level was great with the flavor of the dishes. Also love the Abita beer they offer. Will be back and won't wait so long next time.
Went to Po-Boys tonight for the first time. Staff was incredibly friendly helpful answering our questions about flavor etc. Had a bit of a wait, food came out absolutely delicious. Husband ordered the blackened pasta with andouille sausage and a side of potato salad to try. I had the shrimp dinner. Food was absolutely amazing. Can’t say enough! We will be back. The food was really good especially the jambalaya croquettes! Wait staff was attentive and made great recommendations. It did take a bit to get our food though and the fries were cool when they arrived. Can't wait to try the gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans and rice next time! Also bread podding omg!
Great place with FANTASTIC food and friendly staff. It's one of those menus where you have a difficult time making a choice because of the great selection. We'll definitely be going back, as there are several menu items I want to try. The gator bites were awesome. Thanks, Byron!
delicious! we have the crabcakes with ramoulade. gumbo and jambalaya. all were delicious! fresh and tastes like louisiana. very recommended! great staff from louisiana. very professional and friendly. we're coming back!
today I came to midday and it was like a small mini-new orleans holiday. even a delicious hurricane. so good. her cajun kartoffel salad is incredibly good. will be back soon. every time I come here, it's fantastic. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Take out orders are ALWAYS correct AND delicious! I've been ordering or eating in here for over 2 years and never had a problem; not with substitutions, special requests or courtesy. The Po'Boys are EPIC!
