Great pizza is hard to come by at the Gold Coast, with most pizzerias churning out bland, cheesed-up pizzas with poor quality toppings for tourists who they will never see again, whilst ignoring the locals market, which if they are savvy can provide with regular repeat business.With a fair degree of optimism, my wife and I and two boys aged, 5 and 9 went to Pomodoro last night to try it out, hoping that it would be the type of place that we could go to a couple of times a week.The pizza was outstanding. Thin, puffy base/crust cooked to perfection, and reminiscent of the type of pizza base that you become accustomed to in Italy. However it was the quality of the ingredients used in the toppin...
I ordered take away pizza and selected some nice sounding pizza's, but when I got home and served them up I was very disappointed, not enough topping and the cost of the pizza did not warrant the price, Friends called over with a pizza hut chicken garlic pizza that looked a lot better than our Margherita pizza and our Lamb Pizza and our Salmon Pizza. I was very disappointed. I have had pizza from 3 Kings Pizza before and it came 10th in the Gold Coast best pizza survey, Pomodoro Pizzeria came 6th so I was looking forward to trying it. Looks like 3 Kings Pizza will be getting our business from now on.
Served by 4 unorganised waiters. Overpriced at 100 bucks for 2 pizzas and four drinks with 2 tiny tasteless salads. Took 30 minutes to get a drink. The pork belly pizza had 4 tiny pieces of soggy pork on it and the entire pizza was covered in stale radicchio. We weren't asked if we wanted coffee or desert and the waiter took my credit card off my wallet whilst I wasn't looking and processed the bill without me even seeing the costs. Will never ever eat here again. Beware.
I have attempted to eat many pizzas in Queensland and have been very disappointed-- UNTIL I ate at Pomodoro Pizzeria. The crust is true Italian-- not whacky sourdough. The sauce is sweet and the buffalo mozzarella is amazing. If you want a true Italian pizza you must dine here. The chef is great, as are the waitresses. The restaurant is located on the Isle of Capri, just a few blocks from Surfer's Paradise. Eat and enjoy!

This restaurant is in the isle of Capri - short walk from surfers. Great decor, staff and pizza that you will love. Great flavours with interesting toppings for the pizza - not the usual standard pizza toppings which makes this place a must go to.You will be glad you came here...
A casual dinner at Pomodoro quickly turned into a great night out. Food, wine and service were all top notch. The fitout was great with an open kitchen to a amuse! The only minor complaint was that there were long benches instead of individual chairs.
Fantastic food The pizzas are really big. My husband and I went halves with a flat Bray for Entrée and we couldn't finish it all! Great service ... but they brought out our main and Entrée at the same time.
This was one of the better pizza places around. Good vegetarian options. Good service as well. My friend tried a couple of the meat options, which were both good also.

Best pizza i have had in Australia. I like the decor but not a big fan of communal style dining and seating. Staff were great and lunch was extremely enjoyable
