Edit May 2026: Looking a bit run down, with temporary barriers to keep you away from the bridge itself and fly tipped trash in the area. There is hope, though there's a sign letting us know of plans to convert the railway line that passes through the area to a cycle/pedestrian trail so perhaps it will improve. Also: Be aware that it's not as v Gogh painted it. The bridge crosses a derelict lock and has cement abutments rather than the scenic location in the painting. If you're interested in old bridges or van Gogh then you should see this. Nice location for a picnic.
