I usually come to this restaurant for breakfast and everything is usually good. However, last night I came for dinner and everything was fine until my dessert arrived. I ordered strawberry shortcake and it smelled terrible when I brought my fork to my face. Thank goodness I could smell it because upon closer inspection, I discovered there was mold on it. I showed the mold to my server and she took the plate to the back, eventually giving me a $5 discount on my bill. Unfortunately, my boyfriend seems to have gotten food poisoning today. We will not be coming back to this restaurant, which is disappointing since there are not many options in the area.
always when I have the prices and food proportions are great. I hope it's not just me and what I command, but I try every time I go ( twice and all). it has not yet been disappointed and with my engaged, who needs strict medical nutrition, can find things that meet their needs and do not have to eat the same every time. She's looking forward to the next time she can try something else she didn't have. even if it was on the menu and not in its guidelines, the cook accented to find out how to do what she wanted and still remains in her limits. ?
Came in for early dinner. 4pm...wife had fish sandwich. It was a walleye fillet and a bun, came with soup. Wife said 6 out of 10. I had hamburger horse shoe. Cheese sauce was a little runny, everything was hot and fresh. Appetizer order was onion rings. They came super fast, hot and crispy. Loved them. The food was more plain then flavorful. Not bad, more like nursing home food. Most meals come with soup and dessertEmployees were prompt and could not have been any better. Average prices on food.
During our trip to Pontiac, we were recommended to try out the Family Kitchen by the Lagerwirt. Despite arriving late at 8:15 on a Sunday night (they close at 9 o'clock), the staff was friendly and courteous. On the way to St. Louis for a wedding and stopped here for lunch. Terrific. Great menu. Especially helpful. Had our 3 yr old granddaughter and she was ready for lunch. They took her order and put it in. Then came back for the group. So nice! Everyone was happy. Happily recommend!
Great sandwiches served with a smile. Enjoyed the cup of soup that comes with a sandwich. I also had a side of sweet potato fries that were perfect with the sandwich.
