We were visiting Riding Mountain Park just down the street and found this gem of a place. It is technically a used book store but have lots of wonderful items and art from around the world. They also serve drinks coffee and great food. They...also have a collection of collectors books and magazines for the person looking to add to their collection. Many locals here so you know its one of the best spots in town. We will be back!
I was on a trip to visit my sister, she recommended a ride through the mountain park and stop her here in poor michaels. what a really wonderful place. this is a goal in its own right. everything was wonderful, the atmosphere, the...service, the latte, the quiche, through the load hiking, just relax and absorb the atmosphere. My wife and I have been coming to Poor Michaels for 20 years now. They have a fantastic selection of used books and records, a cafe serving whole foods, Fairtrade furniture and household items, coffee, and even beer! It's a place we absolutely love.
The coffee and atmosphere in this place is very homey and welcoming. You can spend hours browsing the shelves of books magazines and vinyl!! They use and sell organic products and their coffee choices are excellent!
We always visit Poor Michael's. The owners are very friendly and helpful. There are lost of used books on every subject and the coffee and other drinks and snacks are excellent.
