Pophams is a fantastic choice on a sunny day, thanks to its ample outdoor seating. We tried the sweetcorn chowder, which was served piping hot alongside some tangy, fresh sourdough—a real treat. The bacon maple swirl was nice, but it felt a bit pricey. My almond croissant was generously filled and not overly sweet, though it was slightly overcooked. Our total for two coffees and the food came to £27. We visited on a busy Friday but were able to get a table right away. Overall, it was a great experience! Pophams offers the best pastries I've ever tasted, and that's no exaggeration. The maple and bacon bun is uniquely flavorful, and the coffee is exceptional. I returned to enjoy the cardamom bun again and shared it with my mom, who adored it as well. The lamination, the caramelized exterior, the buttery texture, the perfect salt balance, and the rich cardamom flavor make it absolutely perfect. Their coffee is also outstanding. I’ve been eager to try this place for some time, and it definitely lived up to the anticipation. I visited on a Tuesday since weekends are quite hectic.
