A little disappointed in the afternoon tea. The sandwiches had no butter on the bread which were like doorstops, not dainty at all. The sausage rolls, quiche and cakes tasted shop bought, but the wraps were nice and the scones were really lovely. I presumed that refills of tea and coffee would be included in the price but were not. However when I said this to the person serving us she included it in the price. Next time I will choose something from the lunch menu which is always lovely. Arrived for afternoon tea to celebrate my Granddaughters 10th birthday with 4 others but unfortunately, we were booked on the 18th December, oops I must have had a senior moment. So instead of turning us away, they made a space for us made us very welcome. The kitchen had to arrange the afternoon teas which were delicious and good value. The girls changed their minds had something hot from the menu but this didn't phase anyone. The staff member looking after us even found some balloons so we could take photos, such a thoughtful thing to do. Was at Cheshire oaks for a bit of xmas shopping and staying nearby we decided to book a table for 6. After a 15 min walk from hotel I was treated to one of the best starters ever (Black Pudding stack). All the main courses were superb and very generous portions. For the couple of hours we were in there the atmosphere, food and staff were amazing. Will deffo be back when in the area. When leaving we were shown a quicker way back to hotel.... 3 min walk. I had a fantastic breakfast here! The prices are very reasonable, making it a great value. I dined in and enjoyed my meal, with food quality rated at 4 out of 5. The service was also excellent, receiving a score of 4. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, earning another 4. I highly recommend trying the English Breakfast.
