Customer service is lackluster, i had to get the information out of the person at the counter to figure out what they had on the menu. Walked in looking to buy and taste Portugués Nata, which is a small bite size custard tart. If you buy them individually they are $1.50. If you buy a dozen you pay $18. They did have sandwiches but the lady at the counter was not very nice in either providing a menu or even letting us know the specials of the day, she seemed bored and tired. The place is a bit out of my way as i live in Bayside. I think, i would go back but not just to pick up the tarts. My wife found the place from internet recommendations. There is no actual parking so good luck with street...
I call in advance for baked egg custard tarts unfortunately these sell out fast but they can be made just requires some waiting time and ordered a dozen to enjoy them on the way back home (Port Jefferson) SO DELICIOUS, WARM, AND FRESH happy holidays and thank you !!
There is a vast selection of Portuguese pastries here. Be sure to try their fantastic flan and pastel de nata. They are a bit on the sweeter side, but overall, it's hard to complain!
The sandwich are so good ,everything is fresh and neat !! the people that works there are so kind and lovely .the environment makes you feel like home .my favorite spot !!!
The egg cakes are all. One thing that is just a little annoying that if you buy 6 or less it in a regular white bag and most of the tarts are squished.
Love their sandwiches, so far every time I got there, their pastel natas just came out of the oven so fresh, warm and yummy
My wife and I STILL love this bakery. Their Portuguese offerings are tasty and the place is always clean.
