Everything seemed good…. reservation honored on time, service very good, food appeared great, tasted great. Good Portuguese rolls w/ garlic/seasoned butter, nice side salad with fresh greens/house dressing. Huge portions of tasty cubed pork/clams/potatoes, tasty salted cod, tasty rice and seafood. All three of use brought substantial portions home. Unfortunately, the party who had the rice and seafood suffered serious intestinal distress within 2 hours after leaving the restaurant, and is still uncomfortable. Interestingly, a review posted on Yelp in July (last month) related a similar problem after eating here.
Our first visit and we are wondering how we could have missed this great spot. Excellent service by Arthur. We had lots of help choosing a Portuguese wine that we really enjoyed. The house salad is quite nice and the dressing described as Portuguese thousand island was very tasty. The clams steamed in wine with garlic were perfect. We shared the stuffed flounder. The sharing charge is worth it as the portion was quite large and then there was room for dessert!! Flan was delectable. We will return soon
My wife ordered the Red Snapper dinner and got food poisoning. The Portuguese soup was very bland and the vegetables were mediocre at best. However, the bread and salad was excellent. Bar was lively. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
The atmosphere at this restaurant is top-notch. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. The decor, lighting, and overall vibe all contribute to a wonderful atmosphere.
