The restaurant has a charming old-world atmosphere, and I found the service to be attentive. The food was quite enjoyable. Almost as soon as I sat down, the waiter brought out a warm loaf of crusty bread, fresh from the oven. I ordered the filet mignon with a Portuguese twist and a glass of sangria. The filet was cooked to perfection and came with lightly steamed vegetables, rice, and thinly sliced potatoes that were delicately fried to a delightful texture. Liked the redecorating the restaurant did since our last visit. However, their menu changed. We found something we liked. Took a long time to get our drinks. Then waited awhile for the two onion soups to be served; however they were cold. The waiter took them and asked if we wanted new ones. Of course. We waited a long time for the replacement soups. The dinners came out again after a long wait, also no bread or salad which was always served. The dinners were not what was advertised. There should not have been such a long wait as there were only 3 other tables occupied. Suffice it to say we will not be returning.
This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. They offer high-quality steak and seafood dishes, along with a very popular Sangria. Their other cocktails are also fantastic, though you'll often see pitchers on every table. The service is exceptional and always attentive. You must try the Zarzuela or the Filet Mignon a Portuguesa — you’ll be amazed by the flavors. The shrimp in garlic sauce appetizer is absolutely delicious. While some may consider the decor to be outdated, I find it adds to the restaurant's charm.
The food at Portuguese Manor was really tasty, and the portions are very generous for the price and all the seafood you get. The calamari appetizer was really great and delicious. The seafood paella was a great deal because you got a lot of really fresh seafood; however it was a little salty and didn't have the beautiful soccarat at the bottom. The salad and bread which came with every meal was also good.

This is not longer a mainly Portuguese Food restaurant. The menu is vastly scaled down on the Portuguese food and contains many Dominican dishes, like Mofongo. The Portuguese dishes we ordered were pretty good. Still, this is no longer a purely Portuguese restaurant. We had Steak (Good), Peruvian Ceviche (Good), and Fried Whole Red Snapper (Okay). I hadn't visited in years, as it used to be one of my favorite places before I had kids. Recently, I decided to bring a group of friends, and to our delightful surprise, the food and atmosphere are still wonderful. Thank you for maintaining such a fantastic spot!
Was not good. Took 45 minutes to get 1 appetizer. Entrees took longer. No bread, no salad. Maybe those are extra. Lobster tails were over cooked and dry. No butter with them. Asked for 1 soda, never got it. $215.00 dollars for 3 people.
First time having Portugese dinner for a birthday celebration. The whole place emanate Portugese charm, from the dinnerware to the entrees. Lots of good wine and music to accompany our night.
