Stopped for late lunch after a trip to the garden centre. Inside and outside seating areas. The table needed a clean and to have plates from previous guests removed. Young waitress was helpful in guiding how to order and took our order quickly. It wasn’t busy but we waited at least 20 minutes which considering it wasn’t busy at that time seemed too long. When asked about the delay the response was a little sharp. Despite this the food was really good when it came and a good sized portion hence my 4* review Maybe the staff were making the most of the lull in trade. I would recommend the food.
Although we often drive past the garden centre, we have never used the tea rooms. They advertise their ice cream parlour , so on a hot afternoon we called in. Nice range of high quality ice creams, very friendly/helpful staff, decent outdoor seating area (it was just on their closing times, many places would say sorry you 're too late , here it was totally different). When came we go back !
Came here to visit nursery, but thought we’d have a little something to eat. Medium size tea room, plenty of seating, spaced out well. Outside seating is also available, but too cold and windy on day of visit. Wife had tea cake and cappuccino, whilst I had 2 poached eggs on Gluten Free toast. Total cost £11.50. Service was warm and friendly. Nice place to visit
Today (Saturday 11th June) I visited Potash Tea Rooms in Hawkwell for afternoon tea with a friend. I was very impressed with this lovely place a real gem tucked away very friendly place staff we very attentive and food was delicious will definitely return.

fresh made sandwiches and hot fresh coffee. the only slight disadvantage was the noise development in the interior. that is not rare in many restaurants due to the lack of soft equipment.
Wonderful staff, great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Check out the great 'twinned ' disabled toilets.
Excellent and very reasonable priced lunch, nice surroundings, will certainly visit again.
Food and atmosphere fine, rather pricey and junior staff require more training.
