I would not recommend this restaurant for their fish. I ordered a large fish but received a small one after paying £6. When I called to inquire about my order, I was told they would weigh it, but it turned out to be a small fish from a different fish and chip shop. The person who answered the phone seemed hesitant to lose customers, even if they were new. It's surprising that they have received awards for their customer service, as my experience was far from excellent. I will not be returning to this establishment. I suggest trying out other fish and chip shops in the area for better quality and service.
This is a great place which puts a fun new twist on classic dishes, the use of ordinary chips but with the addition of Indian/Kenyan sauces, spices and vegetables makes them taste really good and it is something very different. The staff were very helpful explaining each chip dish and what's in them etc. The chips tasted as good as you would get in a normal fish and chips place. I also had the homemade vegetable burger and I thought that tasted really good. They've even tried you make you feel like you're in Kenya with the colours, pictures and vibe. I highly recommend.
as a kenian, I would not say that this restaurant offers food with the exact Kenyan taste, but it is very close. Love the ambiente des ortes, gives a Kenyan mood with the local art pieces and snacks to offer. their acharis and mbuyus (baobab seeds), on sale, however, are extremely high price. Otherwise, eating in the menu is cheap. would definitely recommend their paneer chapatti and poussin chips! you can never go with a dissatisfied one.
Kenyan Twist/Indian food. poussin plaice is extremely different from other fish chips places they have a rotation of making food in Kenyan style, which could rarely be found anywhere in london, overall I would rate eating there 10outof10. I would recommend trying people there bandika, ei chapatti, chili garlauch chips, poussin chips and ugali. the other good thing about them is that vegetarian foods to prepare with various utensils. Poussin Plaice offers a unique blend of Kenyan and Indian cuisine that sets it apart from other fish and chips places. Their Kenyan-style dishes are a rare find in London and are highly recommended. I give their food a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. I suggest trying their bandika, egg chapatti, spicy garlic fries, poussin fries, and ugali. Another bonus is that they prepare vegetarian dishes separately using different utensils.
Amazing restaurant with kenyan specialities like Mishkaki, kachumbari, ugali, sukuma wiki and a lot more! You can also buy halua, achari, mabuyu and some other non food items from kenya. Food was delicious as was the passion juice. The desert surprise was absolutely amazing! All in all, a great place and we will be back!
Seriously horrendous waiting it took 25 minutes to prepare a piece of pitta bread and some donor kebab most fast food places has food done in 7mins. And to my amazement the manger said we can not cater for 3 people you have to order one by one. what kind of restaurant is this?
The poussin fries are absolutely delicious. The Gatundu chips were good, but they could use less ginger and more kachumbari instead of the maru bhajia chutney. Overall, it's a delightful meal that you can enjoy weekly! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
So this place is to be Kenyan. they serve chips and other things of the Kenyan art. the chips and the paneer chapatti. definitiw fresh and real food for a change. tasting and not hard on the bag.
