It's been years since I ordered from P and R Jamaican restaurant. I went to buy patties, and decided buy a plate of curry goat and some ice cream for my mother and myself and it was horrible . I was told by the server it was curry goat and in the hot tray it looked like curry goat but it was not curry goat it was stew goat with no taste. The rice was horrible! I ordered grape nut ice cream and rum raisin for my Mom. Ice creams suppose to taste delicious. I never my history eaten horrible grape nut ice cream. My Mom rum and raisin was not tasty as well. I will not ever order food from this establishment unless they get new cooks and real ice cream.
It's the best place I know of in Boston right now to get a beef patty, they also offer you Jamaican cheese. I am not sure how authentic that is but that is def the better cheese to get if you get them with cheese. I always get Richie's slush too, they have an ice cream parlor connected to the restaurant. I also love that they always have Malta.
I had to visit this place for the Jamaican patties. I kept hearing about them, especially when paired with coco bread and Jamaican cheese. Oh my goodness, they were so good! This isn’t a dine-in restaurant, but the reputation of their patties truly speaks for itself!
My patty was excellent; but, the customer service is atrocious. Still confused why the short lady, with the bad eyebrows, serving ice cream was laughing. The patties and ice cream can be excellent however, you can’t run a business on continuous ignorance.

Consistently Good Food and Service For Years and the ice cream is excellentParking: On a block with several businesses so there's often alot of double parking But it's worked that way for Years
They served me the oldest fish patties, clearly knowing that they would be tough and oily. I recommend looking for food elsewhere.
Someone mentioned their spinach patties to me, and I visited the restaurant years ago. The food is fantastic! Rating: 5/5
