Prairie Grass Café

Went here for our anniversary, very nice looking restaurant inside, the food was excellent very tasty and well thought out preparations outside of the ordinary norm at most restaurants. My only big issue was the poor service by our waiter Ansar. This guy was so inattentive it was angering. When he would actually finally come by once in a blue moon, he would drop something so quick and leave you wouldn't even have a chance to ask him for anything. It was the type of service you get from someone that doesn't care because their tip is guarantee almost or hates being a waiter. The bus boys were excellent constantly walking around and grabbing things from tables. Our waiter was the only issue but...

while we were in the renaissance hotel in the city, we stopped the prairie rampant cafe. it is a great wow! loved the fresh, the use of local foods and products, and the quality of presentation and taste. server were also professional and gave good recommendations. I wish I lived in town. many of us have the lake superior whitefish, as we never get where we live. it tasted as if it had been caught and cooked on the same day. the products were also amazingly fresh. tomaten as they were just picked and the brokkoli was steamed to perfection. it's noisy if I were busy, so I might have been sitting outside, but many restaurants are too loud now.

Started our lunch experience with Cosmos. Perfectly Blended nice and cold. Our lunch consisted of Vegetable lentil soup, salmon and bass. The Dishes were absolutely delicious.And served by a very professional staff.Our waiter was not only attentive but took time to chat with us a bit during a very busy lunch time.The chef owners husband came to our table for a visit as well. We are looking forward to going back for dinner. If you find yourself in Northbrook, Prairie Grass Cafe is a must stop for a great meal.

Prairie Grass is a wonderful restaurant for a special occasion or if you feel like having a slightly fancier night out. The food and service are excellent! I got the date and fig salad as an appetizer, the Lake Superior White fish with mashed potatoes for my main course, and the banana cream pie and chocolate cake for dessert. I definitely plan on coming back soon!

not enough stars on this side to reflect the amazing farewell and cordial greeting that is prairie rampart. chef sarah her dream team blows the guests constantly while the front of the house greets them again like family. about the high-quality hospitality every time for everyone.

I made the reservations I went in and the heart who welcomed me continued to cheat me and said that the restaurant did not on open table. made me feel like a. I will not come back and I will make sure that many others hear this story and make up their own thoughts.

Good food but very expensive for lunch. Cheese curds and a salad 38. Autotipping also applied to carry out. I normally tip anyway, but it's interesting to auto tip on a carryout order for 1 person. Idk. Food was tasty. Hostess was friendly.

amazing eating and crying. must go to chicago eating. they know how to curate an excellent meal. the wine list is small, but fabulous.
