yesterday we have friends to the prawn star for a surprise dinner for a 60th tammy and their team were fabulous, have set up a birthday banner (that we brought ourselves on the side of the boat and even brought out a “birthday’s praawn” and. to celebrate our friend happy birthday. the view of the face of our friend when he saw the banner was invaluable. we then enjoyed drinks and delicious seafood from the Jumbo plate (plus extra lachs sashimi! was just perfect. a fantastic lunch. thanks!
we like to make something from everyday life. my man discovered this and I'm so glad we did it. what a brilliant way to enjoy good seafood. love the concept to sit on a boat to eat seafood. the whole vibe was perfect and the...the guns were excellent. eating was delicious, I am so glad that we did this and would do it again when we are in cairns
This was our second visit in the last 18 months and it was brilliant. Such a simply dining model cold fresh seafood. Nothing fancy, no herbs and spices just fresh seafood. The menu is limited for food and drinks. Beers are $7 Seafood...platters are good value. Service is perfect and the location is spot one. Where else can eat on an old boat.
Loved the novelty of eating on the prawn star boat. It is situated in a beautiful part of cairns. There was four of us that shared the jumbo platter for $120. Very reasonably priced. A great experience and very rustic. The prawns and bugs are to die for, as are the cold beers on tap. We enjoyed the shared tables and meeting others felt very connected and communal. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend...this place for seafood lovers.
we waited until our last night to eat here and were happy! we separated the seafood plate and were in the seventh heaven. it was delicious. cold, boiled and had to peal itself, but it is worth it. would go back and eat on a boat in the marina was quite cool.
We made a booking late in the afternoon and was meet by friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Once seated the food came out under five minutes. Fresh great tasting food and the atmosphere was excellent. Will come back.
Saw this place advertised and just had to try it. Wow! am I glad we did. Set in a simple layout on boats in the harbour it only serves seafood, but what it serves is so delicious! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
we visited here. prawns and bugs were amazing. we would just like to have brot or similar to make it a meal. ends up buying riders on our way to house
