After a warm welcome from the friendly barista, we were choosing our drinks from the menu. We asked the difference between a few of them and the barista kindly offered to make mini versions, tasters, of three different drinks for us to try! I've never been offered that anywhere else before and I really appreciated the extra effort he went to in helping us choose something we would like. We've been here before and intend to come back again.
We just went in because of the name, but it proved to be a lovely little coffee shop just off the Royal Mile with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and good service. The lemon poppy cake and coffee were both excellent and the window seat proved ideal for people watching. And some cool movie posters on the wall Metropolis, anyone?
Great independent cafe off the Royal Mile definitely worth dropping in. Some delicious vegetarian dishes and cakes. Great choice of drinks and when we weren’t sure which chai to go for, the barista made taster versions for us to try.
Popped in for a couple of coffees and some cake. Ended up just sharing the cake as it was £5.95 a slice! Cake was nice enough, coffees were fine although the small is really small. Just far far too expensive. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Popped in for a quick takeaway coffee. Got an Americano with cold milk. Took 10 minutes to get the coffee, which was watery, weak, and tepid temperature. I'll avoid it next time and just go to starbucks.
The view is slightly less than romantic due to road works right out side but don’t let that put you off, the quirky name and lovely looking window seat drew us in. Good coffee and delicious Spanakopita.
Had breakfast here and the coffee was good. The pastries were just OK even though they claim they are made there. The good thing is that they open earlier than others, so it is convenient.
The cake was stale and tasted of very cheap margarine. Very expensive. I will not come back. We got a boxed take away. A pastry plus cake £14. Did not bother with the coffee. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Popped in as a rest from the royal mile absolutely perfect. Can recommend the chorizo panini and the berry smoothie and will be back for the cakes!
