We have bought from here several times. The staff have always been lovely and helpful. They have a great selection of cakes and other sweets. My only negative experience was with their Black Forest Cake. It tasted nothing like a Black Forest Cake, because there were no cherries or cherry liqueur used. It had what tasted like tinned peaches and pears instead. It was a reasonably well-made cake, but not at all what was expected, and it was disappointing. It would have been more accurate to call it a chocolate cake rather than a Black Forest Cake.
Profiterole aims to provide a pleasant cafe respite from the road outside but don't expect anything better than highway-standard food. The prices weren't marked, which is very dodgy, but it seemed like everything was cheap, which is just as well because it's cheap food. The cannoli crust was soggy and the ricotta filling tasted weird, the chocolate ball was just all low quality ingredients, and the coffee was really grainy.
We visited Profiterole Patisserie today for the first time and we were overwhelmed by the amazing dessert options available. The patisserie was very clean and the cakes were beautifully presented. Contrary to other reviews, the service was excellent. We felt very welcomed and the lady who served us was happy to tell us more about the desserts on display. Oh, and the profiteroles were to die for. So delicious.
Lovely cakes, beautiful shop and nice service. The only feedback I would give is that the chocolate wafer on the Chocolate trio cake was soggy and the profiterole pastry was a bit dry. The tiramisu was perfect, not too overly sweet.

Whenever I am in this area I make sure to pay a visit to this cake store. The cakes are amazing and the prices are so cheap compared to cakes in the inner west. The staff are always very lovely too.
I ordered a birthday cake for my Husbands 70th, it was easy to order, looked great, and tasted fabulous. Most people at the party came back for seconds!
