It's freezing cold today. I was wandering the frozen barren landscape of Adelaide for lunch but alas it was past 3pm and the usual lunch spots had shut down. Enter Proof and their small yet perfect selection of toasted sandwiches. Cured pork with a mixture of the tastiest cheese I've met on my journey so far on this planet. I'm not sure what the disease was, but this is the cure. Add in the fantastic lane way, small bar feel of Proof and the great atmosphere and it equals perfection. And yes, this is the best toastie I've ever had!
I went here looking just for a simple drink and the bartender was so friendly and kept giving me water to sober me up after i had 3 drinks. I asked the bartender to give me random drinks under $20 and he went along and I tried around 4 new drinks and had an excellent time. 100% going and and recommending to friends. Cute little wine bar with a great rooftop area. The wine menu is a bit disappointing, though... There are only about 5 or 6 reds by the glass and there aren't any heavier varieties, which is not really acceptable for a wine bar. Very small snack food menu. Amazing cocktail list.
