We love the entire staff, owners, and food. I have been going here for over 25 years and the quality is always top-notch. They have everything and anything you could want, the menu is huge! The fresh pickle bar is always overflowing with tons of selection. The fish platters are outstanding and their dinner specials are always a good deal. Feeling sick? Order chicken noodle soup like your Granny used to make. Really hungry? Get the sky-high New Yorker sandwich which has 2 lbs of meat on it! Not staving, but could eat? Get the potato latka, you'll thank me later! Whenever family or friends come in from out of town, they always beg us to take them here. You always feel welcome and you may also...
Oh my goodness! You absolutely have to stop by for a meal—it's incredibly delicious! The menu is simple yet extensive, featuring a wide range of comfort food. They even have a pickle bar and offer baked goods, which makes it so great. I find myself going here once a week just because the food is that good. Their chicken noodle soup is fantastic! The grilled chicken sandwiches are excellent, and the stuffed pita pockets with tuna are so tasty. If you haven't tried this place yet, you really need to! There can be a wait at times, but it's never too long. I recommend going on a weekday or night. I can't say enough good things about this place!
I was staying at one of the hotels very close to Pumpernick's and decided to give it a try for breakfast after getting a recommendation from a colleague. I'm very glad I stopped! The food was great (see picture of the Ruben Omelet and bagel with hash browns. The Pickle Bar was amazing (see picture) They also have a great store with tons of, what looked like, fresh food and baked goods (picture also included)

Extremely yummy bagel with lox and cream cheese. There were pickles from a pickle bar to pick from; I wish I would have realized!!
Do not get split pea soup worst i ever had, pastrami way too fatty, but we will try again stick to our usuals
