We had Cheese-garlic naan, jeera rice, malai kofta, eggplant masala and tandoori chicken. The portions were all well sized and we ordered enough for 4 people, so had left overs being two. We phoned in a take away order after finding their menu on their website. The phone was answered promptly and the food was ready in 20 minutes. We had take away from here and I can honestly say I have NEVER had such vile food. My husband actually spat his food out. We commenced with the mixed tandoori entree. I can guarantee that the meat had NEVER been near a tandoori oven. It was almost fried, dry as leather and absolutely tasteless. The stench of burnt oil was overbearing and I had to take it outside and dispose of it in the rubbish immediately. Similarly, the naans were NOT naans. They were chapatis. My cat can make chapatis of this quality, but unfortunately he is 3 foot under. I think I have said enough. Bottom line - never ever will we get food from here again.
I ordered food from Punjabi Tandoori Indian on the EatNow platform tonight. Unfortunately, the food I received was very disappointing. The garlic cheese naan had no garlic flavor at all. Both dishes I ordered were mostly runny sauce, resembling a soup. The rice was undercooked and dry. The butter chicken did not taste like traditional butter chicken, but more like chicken in a tomato sauce. Furthermore, there were only 6 pieces of chicken in the entire dish. The beef korma was overcooked and the beef was dry and stringy. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience.
a juxtaposition. the outside of punjabi tandoori is humble a sign, a few lights. the inner is warm, garish, but somehow secret. the beating of the pickles on each table are cumbersome I found myself addicted to them and they made my mouthwater for more. the quality of food was very good. I would recommend for those who want to taste something tasty and tasteful in the suburbs.
