On Friday May 26, 2023, my mom and I went to Pure Kitchen on Terry Fox for the first time and what I can day from my experience is that it was terrible. With our party of 15+ people, the first I noticed at the restaurant though the interior was nice was the dead flies on the tables, as if they had bug sprayed our area but then forgot to clean the tables. Then there was the poor service, after the food was brought up to us we were serving out own food, as coordinating what dish went to whom. Within that chaos, food was either delayed, or missed and was being made on spot, despite the fact that we all had given our order before and they know how big our party would be and should have had more...
My wife and I went for breakfast. Host and our server were very helpful. Toast arrived burnt. Not sure how since I could see someone in the kitchen standing over the toaster. Maybe 1st day on the job. Bacon was not real, more like that pre-cooked stuff you buy in a box and microwave...same stuff we use at home for sandwiches. Complained to manager who insisted it was real bacon. All pieces had the same redness and length. Plate came with 1/2 a strawberry. The strawberries were not ripe yet, still white. Maybe 1st day on the job for cook as well. On the plus side, neither one of us got sick from eating there.
This was my first place to eat once I got to Ottawa.The restaurant has a gorgeous interior! The overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming.I ordered the Poutine and Cauliflower wings (Half Buffalo half Honey Garlic) both of these were great! The wings were a larger portion than I expected.The next day I went back for lunch and had the pineapple juice and The Crunch wrap, this should be permanently on your menu it's SO GOOD!I miss this place and hope to visit Ottawa again so I can enjoy this restaurant again!Thank you :D
My wife and I had lunch. I had the bibimbap with added charred broccoli. It was colorful, and the tofu was succulent. I loved the cauliflower rice. It was very well prepared and spiced. The portion was significant. My wife had the Cesar salad bowl. She loved it, and she loved the dressing. We had the carrots cake excellent too. The Americans were excellent too. The waitress was attentive and smiling. Well priced too. One of the best I had in a restaurant for quite a while.
Despite being in Terry Fox, the space inside brings you back to nature with the all white decor and beautiful plants. Like other locations the food is excellent and wholesome. Served so delicious every time and the server was sweet and gave us some recommendations. A great option for vegetarian food that is healthy and keeps you full :
Very disappointed. Can’t believe how little we got for the price. Usually they come in a large circular container with significantly more food.17$ for the broccoli?20$ for the cauliflower?Yes. The taste is good, but the amount of food in these containers was almost laughable.Will think twice next time.
The staff here is always so friendly, quick and helpful! I’ve been many times for dine-in/takeout and always have a great experience. There was a small order error that was not a big deal at all but the Pure Kitchen Team went above and beyond. Thank you so much Grace team! I absolutely recommend.
Excellent food. We ate outdoors. Server was nice, recommendations made. I have the Liberty Buffalo packaging, but instead of the spicy buffalo sauce I have the Korean sauce.
Delicious, large portions. Something for everyone. Vegan friendly and good prices. Personal favs are the cauliflower wings, fantastic bowl, and bohemian smoothie.
