The food is delicious, the location is fantastic, and they are dog-friendly with the option to dine indoors or outdoors. I am a regular customer and have recommended this restaurant to others. However, I have been disappointed on multiple occasions when I arrived to find it closed. Today, Saturday, January 8th, 2022, my family and I walked in the rain to visit, only to find everything shut with a sign on the door stating that it should be open from 10am to 5pm. This inconsistency in opening hours will cost you customers!
We really enjoyed some rare sun at the outdoor seating here. The choices of food for lunch were so tempting. The caesar salad was just fantastic ..spicy chicken and lovely zingy fresh salad...home made croutons...the roasted new potatoes were a brilliant success..perfect and generous portion. The chicken and chorizo casserole was really tasty and plenty of meat. Coffee was a delight and a cheeky piece of bakewell. Absolutely brilliant x
Visited the cafe and cider press some time ago, keen to return today since we had enjoyed the food very much on our first visit.Good coffee and food was excellent, freshly cooked and nicely presented. Varied and interesting menu unfortunately we didn’t have room for a cake, maybe next time.
The food at this restaurant was delicious and skillfully prepared. The attentive service from the young waitresses was exceptional. As a local resident visiting for the first time, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely be coming back. The prices were also very reasonable.

I visited the cafe today with some friends. The location is nestled away, but very we’ll sign posted and has parking nearby. The Staff were friendly and seemed approachable. They have a wide range of food options as well as some great ciders. Will definitely be visiting again.
Very disappointed. Despite asking if we should pre order, and being assured not necessary there was insufficient pie of choice for our party. The food was luke warm and unappealing. If they do another pie night make sure to pre order
I stumbled upon this charming café and had lunch with cider. It was such a refreshing experience to try a variety of dishes and delicious ciders. I highly recommend this place for both the food and the exceptional service. Ruth
We experienced lovely tasty food and friendly staff at the cafe when we visited on bank holiday Monday. It was a really pleasant visit and one which will be repeated.

we didn't book a table but the staff were very accommodating . the outside area is pleasant and rustic but the food is excellent I wonderful country eatery.
First visit here today for coffee and cake with a friend. Friendly, fast service and excellent cake. Will be back soon.
