We stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for a place to have dinner. We were not in the mood for fast food. Putters is located in the clubhouse of a golf course at the south end of Claresholm. The food was delicious, especially the hearty hamburger and their massive burger with lean meat topped with lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, mushrooms, dill pickles, and two onion rings. It was so good that we had to cut it into smaller pieces to eat. Both meals came with homemade fries, which were equally tasty and a great value for the price. The service was excellent as well.
What an amazing experience! To sit out on a lovely big deck and watch the golfers playing the back 9 links while enjoying a delicious thick and juicy steak with crispy home cut fries. The seasoning was just right, the cut of meat was succulent, and the chef got it right the first time on my medium rare. The staff are as friendly and fun as the owners Jim and Megan, and they take great pains to ensure everyone has a great meal when dining at their restaurant. If you're looking for a relaxing, fun and thoroughly enjoyable dining experience, Putter's is the place to go!
went here on tues june 24 th my wife and i decided to have lunch before we went golfing. I ordered the putters burger with fries the burger was quite big in size but was gross soggy bun that fell apart when i went to take a bite. I just ate the beef patty and the cold fries was hungry an had to eat but 2hrs later i wish i hadn"t ate it disgusting!!!!! waitress didn"t really care must be used to people complaining about the food wifes meal was not good either,
There are limited options for dining or drinks in Claresholm and many have varying closed days. This restaurant at the golf course at south end of town is an excellent option. Golfing not required, open to the public. Large, pleasant terrace overlooking course. Quiet setting, view of pelicans. We enjoyed very friendly service. Did not dine (just drinks), but looks like good 'pub' type food. Best option in town.
Drove down from city to try this small town golf club eatery. We were not disappointed. Several members of my dining party had the monte cristo and stated they were EXCELLENT. The mushroom swiss was very good. The star was the french fries and the gravy however. No one left a morsel on their plates.
I recently attended a group event at the clubhouse where we were served buffet style. Everything was set up promptly, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The food was all very tasty and the staff was exceptional - they were attentive and friendly throughout the entire event.
Gotta say they make a Mean egg benny. Friendly ladies greeted us. We sat outside for a fantastic sunny view of the golf course. Only reason for 4 stars is that there were way too many flies outside sitting on our food. I would come back here but I would be sitting inside next time.
Go to wing night at Putters! It’s on Wednesday. The wings are off the chain, crazy good. Juicy, well prepared and the service is so friendly. Yup, it’s a pub atmosphere but you can bring your kids.
Stopped in for lunch, had a wrap and the best french onion soup, the wrap had crispy chicken in it and was delicious. Service was good, will be back.
