My husband is a sushi lover, and for some reason it took us almost 10 months of living in the Qualicum area to make our way to Qualicum Sushi. Nice, quiet restaurant. Nicely decorated. Friendly, very attentive staff! Tempura prawns very good. Husband claims it was some of the best sushi he's had so far, thoroughly enjoying the tuna tataki as well as The other dish was great as well, crab stuffed and delicious, but can't remember the name of it! Will have to go back just to be reminded!! Very good prices as well.
Before going to our B&B in Qualicum Beach, we wanted to order a bento takeout to take with us for dinner. Couldn't believe the amount of food you get for your money. Most restaurants don't give take out orders soup but this restaurant packed soup for us. The sushi, teriyaki, California roll, tempura were all delicious. If we weren't leaving Qualicum early in the morning, I would go back for lunch today. Excellent food!!
This is the best sushi I have ever had. I cannot say enough good things about the food here. I have dined on sushi at the Yellowtail restaurant in the Bellagio Hotel and it does not hold a candle to this place. If you decide to purchase sushi elsewhere, you have chosen poorly. Simply the best. Fresh, beautiful and delicious. 5 Stars 10/10 You will not be disappointed.
We have been to many sushi restaurants all over the mainland and Island and I have to say, this was the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. The food was perfect and the service was amazing. We have eaten here more than once and have not been disappointed. Small little gem tucked away at the end of a downtown breezeway, small seated dining area, very pleasant staff and delicious, authentic sushi always prepared fresh.
Thought from other reviews that this would be good. Not so. All of our food ( 4 people) tasted like it had been thawed from frozen, and was not as good as you might get from the local grocery store..
I had lunch with a friend here and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and attentive service. The chef is Korean, but delivers a truly Japanese experience.
