the staff of the male bar was so nice. I had asked myself to make a cocktail and was told by the female manager, “do not do that again” although I offered to pay the full price for an orange juice and a rum that apparently they did. Do no cocktails after our eating went some groups and the rest went to the bar and asked for a “fruity drink” after the ban with the nice bartender said the female manager “no dishes no cocktails asked them.” the male chef then said to my friend “ drink her pints and that’s, go back to her campsite” even if we don’t camp. we were then addressed by the female manier and said we were no longer welcome to be served. our table was not rude or loud, and we spend about...
we have just tented on the street and walked to the pub. we had a great greeting from the young and were extremely helpful, we ordered food from their good menu and I can no longer recommend eating, along with all the big comments. of those around us. pie was huge and very tasty. good choice of crying and beating. we went back a few nights later and I had the lame on the recommendation of the barman. excellent eating. landdame took the time to say hello, even through them had only seen us a few times, and it was clear that the whole team, so much effort to keep the place clean and big dips and drinks on the hand. we took our powder and were offered by team spot on water.
Called in for a drink were delighted with welcome received so went back another time to eat. Lovely welcome again in a really traditional English Pub serving genuine “pub grub” at good prices, portions were generous the food served quickly with a...smile, what a joy theses days! Would recommend on all counts from our experience but loved the idea of The Royal Pods available to use in the garden, should think they would be great fun to use with a small group of friends all named after Royal Houses. Well done to all at The Queen Vic!
a very warm welcome from brand, debbie and the team. this pub used during the stay close to us and we felt so welcome by the employees and locals that we felt like “locals”. fabulous real pub food that was fresh, beautifully cooked and the hearty... proportions sizes were definitiw generous and brilliant. Popped in for lunch while out and about on business, so lovely to see a proper old English pub with friendly helpful staff, and the food, well it was absolutely amazing. We went for the faggots and the farm ham and I recommend anyone to...try those dishes, they were superb, and very reasonably priced as well. All in all we’ve found somewhere we’ll keep coming back too and will be recommending to friends and family as a must visit .
Have wanted to visit this pub for ages and finally had lunch there today on my birthday. Lovely atmosphere and proper English pub food cooked very well. Good value for money. None of the waitresses however were a good representation of this lovely county pub....They were grumpy and unhelpful and gave the impression that they didn’t really want to be there. Some new friendly staff and it would be faultless.
we were a few miles away and were recommended to this pub. what a Jewel. we have gedimated there 4 times and every time the house cooked eating was amazing. especially recommend the steak pipe. once divorced in one of the little huts, which is a great idea. I'd probably get out of here again.
Totally blown away by the very friendly staff and the high quality food. Super crispy batter on the fish. Quality ale and we ate in the Windsor palace, a mini hut just outside the pub full equipped with a chandelier. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
