My partner and I visited on Saturday evening having had a Virgin Experience Days voucher for the Beatles Story and a three course meal at the R Bar and Brasserie. As it was part of a bundle we fully expected a reduced menu from what’s available on the website, and this was indeed the case. Beautiful dining room and very helpful, friendly staff. Afternoon tea was beautifully presented but a bit disappointing cheap, nasty ham on one sandwich...wouldn't cost much to buy some decent ham but the other sandwiches were lovely with plenty of filling. Prawns were big and juicy. Lots of cakes scones were light and tasty with clotted cream and jam. Petit Fours all seemed bought in and had been previously frozen as the pastry was very soggy, they tasted nice but would have preferred home made. Had afternoon tea with two friends here using a Groupon deal. Was absolutely beautiful! The food was great and the selection of savouries and sweet treats were delicious, together with a glass of prosecco each. One of our party was vegetarian and she was given her own stand with lovely, unusual options for the sandwiches, which she was very pleased with. The service was excellent and tea was unlimited. The room is beautiful and we had a lovely few hours excellent value for money and highly recommended!
Went here on Friday for Afternoon tea with my daughter and mum. The hotel decor is fab, spotless with hand sanitiser stations. The waiter and waitress made us feel really welcome. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented and was delicious! I really enjoyed the coronation chicken wrap. Will be returning and would recommend.

Despite being short-staffed when we arrived, our waiter provided excellent service and made our dining experience very accommodating. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious, which more than made up for the initial staffing issues. Overall, it is a very nice restaurant.
Visited last night and the food was magnificent, service excellent and good value for money. Can not recommend it more, it really is worth the visit. We had the creamy mushroom starter, out of this world, haddock, delicious and warm brownie, yummy.
Was really looking forward to our 3 course meal that we had paid for through Virgin Experience Days...... But it was SHUT . Just a number scribbled on an A board. So obviously can't comment on the service, the food, the ambience......
I visited the Richmond restaurant on Valentine's night, me and my partner had the set menu of £35 for Great value of food and service. The atmosphere was warming and I will definitely be returning for further special occasions.

Booked via group on definitely wasn't disappointed ! Food and service was great. Amazing value for money 3 course meal for 2 and a bottle of wine for £40. Lovely venue too.
