As nothing else was open this was our go to place. Staff were good, distancing was in place. Menu limited to fried chicken, fish and chips, burgers and pizza. Steak special was laughing thin and over cooked. But surprisingly pizza was very good. Burger was...no different than a fast food burger, small and not very tasty. Now I know why people were ordering the Special with two patties. Each to our own I guess. Not sure what I was expecting, but a bit more for sure.
From the time we stepped in the door it was a treat, we were greeted by Marie she showed to our table and made us feel welcome, it was a miserable day weather wise, we order soup which was awesome, I had a hot turkey...and my wife had Fisk. We ate in many places and this rated with the best I ever ate, we order our supper from there and had it delivered to the rev park and that was great, will return again
We recently traveled for the Atlantic bubble to Twillingate and we ate most of our meals at the R J Restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. ... breakfast was perfect and the fish and chips ... OMG!!! My son...really liked the blueberry muffins which were served warm with butter.... If your in Twillingate.... R J is the restaurant you want to eat at for sure!
We picked up a meal from R&J during our recent stay (Covid restrictions were such that we preferred to eat at our cottage). Service was quick and efficient, and the menu had lots to choose from (including beer from the local craft pub). It was...one of the few places open this early in the season, but certainly worth the visit.
The fish and chips and fish tacos at this restaurant are excellent. The service was outstanding, and the chips, called "wedgies," are tasty. The view over the water is beautiful. The online rating may not accurately reflect the quality of this establishment.

Longtime restaurant right on the harbour. Very popular with locals and tourists. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and from what we understand, one of the few places open year round. Great breakfast.
I was truly let down. I decided to dine at this restaurant because it appeared popular and bustling, leading me to believe it would be good. I spent $60 on food and only enjoyed half of it...
Based on other reviews, I was sceptical about this place. I was mistaken. Everything was best kind. The fish and chips were excellent. Will definitely return next year.
