I 've going to the Chino Hills location for over 10 years and the servers are always EXCELLENT. The manager addressed the issue of missing sashimi pieces in my order and the server was very gracious. I think the problem has always been with the sushi chefs. Their cuts are always inconsistent (sometimes it 's good and sometimes they give end pieces that look like it 's been squashed by a butcher knife). HQ needs to place better sushi chefs. Nice and welcoming service from when we walked in until we left. We arrived early from our family group dinner, but they were very accommodating and seated us right away into the dining area with beautiful round red globe lighting, trees sculpted out of rebars, and excellent lively music to complete the atmosphere. All of us enjoyed our drinks. My skinny naked lady martini was bright, tasty, fresh, with orchid accent. Our party shared variety of sushi, nigiri, and rolls like Gojiri. We opted to eat outside because indoors was actually colder. We sat near a heater incase we would need it. Only needed it towards the tail end of our dinner which was around 9pm. Food was good, the sake sangria was a nice surprise, and service was great. Checked on us enough times for water refills but not too much where it would be annoying. Great place to just chill, eat and talk.
Overall we enjoyed the food however, two filet mignon dishes came out cold and we had to send them back to be microwaved. Then our shrimp appetizer was forgot about and brought out super late. It was also beyond freezing inside and they waitress said they hear that a lot with the tables under the vents so it wasn’t comfortable inside the restaurant.

They were not busy .After being seated by the host, it took 15 minutes to get a server to come to the table, I went up to the host and asked where the server might be. Once the server came, she said this is not my table, but I’m gonna take care of you anyway and to be honest she did not a good beginning, but  otherwise OK 
Our server was excellent. Manager was super nice to put on the NLDS game for us while we ate. I had never tried the seared rolls and I found them a little salty but the hand rolls were good. We loved the garlic edamame and the mango ceviche.
We've had Great Sushi and We've had Bad Sushi and RA lies somewhere in the middle.. Some of the Sauce combinations were weird.. Especially, the Shrimp and Lobster Roll.
I was told that there were no reservations under my name when clearly there was. I even shoeless the email confirmation.

Enjoyed lunch with my friend. Food portions were generous to share. Service was good. Will be back again.
